Legal Statement and Abuse Policy
The administrators of the IRC-GLOBAL Network reserve the right to deny
the use of nickname and channel registration services and, optionally,
to deny entire network connection access to users who are suspected of
abusing our services or otherwise engaging in illegal activities.
All clients connecting to the IRC-GLOBAL Network must agree to refrain
from using our network to engage in illegal activities. Such illegal
activities include, but are not limited to, the transfer of illegal
software, illegal music tracks, and child pornography.
All applicable laws observed in the real world shall be adhered to
when connected to the IRC-GLOBAL Network. We will not tolerate illegal
behavior and we will fully cooperate with authorities if and when a
need arises.
The IRC-GLOBAL Network Administration shall impose the following:
1) Prohibition of the distribution of child pornography in
any form or capacity.
2) Prohibition of the illegal distribution of any software
protected by copyright laws (also known as "warez").
3) Prohibition of the illegal distribution of any "ripped"
music tracks protected by copyright laws.
4) Prohibition of the illegal distribution of any material
when such distribution violates any law(s), foreign or
domestic.
DESRRIPTION OF PROHIBITIONS:
We do not permit any type of illegal file trading. You may not create
a channel for the primary purpose of, and/or use our network in any
capacity to, distribute, provide direct linking to, or otherwise
facilitate the distribution of content that infringes upon anyone's
intellectual property rights. This includes, but is not limited to,
copyright, trademark, rights of publicity, rights of privacy, and/or
other proprietary rights.
You may not use the IRC-GLOBAL Network in any capacity to, distribute,
provide direct linking to, or otherwise facilitate the distribution of
content that solicits for exchange, sale, or purchase any sexually
explicit images of minors, and/or material otherwise harmful to minors
(as determined by local laws in any jurisdiction as well as by the
discretion of our aministrative staff). This prohibition shall include,
but is not limited to, any photograph(s), film, video, or computer
generated image (actual or simulated).
You may not display obscene, lewd, or sexually harassing images or text
on a public channel without the prior consent of that channel's
operators.
You may not use the IRC-GLOBAL Network to gain unauthorized access to
other computer systems upon which you are not authorized. You may not
attempt to monitor or manipulate another user's electronic
communications. You may not read, copy, change, or delete any part of
another user's network account (other than viewing those items made
available by current network settings).
You may not knowingly or carelessly perform any action that will
interfere with the normal operations of computers, servers, or
processes associated with the IRC-GLOBAL Network, or that of other
computer systems or networks (while connected to the IRC-GLOBAL
Network). Distributed Denial of Service ("DDoS") actions and other
resource abuses are strictly prohibited. Other prohibited resource
abuses include, but are not limited to, any actions of flooding, any
actions of cloning, any actions of mass-messaging, and any
actions of mass-inviting.
You may not make unauthorized attempts to circumvent data protection
schemes or reveal security "holes" or vulnerabilities on our network,
should they happen to exist. This prohibition shall include the creation
and/or utilization of programs that are designed to identify such
"holes" or vulnerabilities, and/or programs that are designed to decrypt
intentionally secured data. Users found to be involved in such activity
will be permanently banned from the IRC-GLOBAL Network and reported to
appropriate authorities.
You may not fake or alter ("spoof") user@host information to evade a
ban or falsify your identity. You may use vhosts, but not for evasive
purposes.
You may not advertise, distribute, or link to software viruses, files,
programs, or other computer code designed to capture information or
otherwise interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer
software and/or hardware or telecommunications equipment associated with
the IRC-GLOBAL Network, or do the same to any other network or system
from an IRC-GLOBAL Network connection.
You may not run programs known as, functioning as, or that include spam
bots, flood bots, clone bots, leech clients, file serves (also called
"fservs"), dccbots, Trojan bots, or zombie bots. Friendly, non-
threatening bots are welcome; however, we request that you obtain
approval from an IRC-GLOBAL staff member before configuring your bot for
use on our network.
REQUIREMENTS:
1) You must be at least 13 years of age to use the IRC-GLOBAL
Network without parental supervision.
2) You may not violate the privacy of, or solicit personal
information from, any network user who is under 18
years of age.
3) Adults may not engage in Private Messages with any network
user who is under 18 years of age without the permission
of that person's parent or guardian.
4) Adults may not attempt to meet anyone in person who is
under 18 years of age through communications occurring
on the IRC-GLOBAL network.
NOTE: IRC may not be suitable for children of any age. Parents, please supervise
your child's IRC sessions. It should always be considered a life-threatening risk
to physically meet with someone first encountered online, especially for children.
Remember, one can never know with certitude whether those encountered online
are who they say they are, their actual age, their gender, and most importantly,
their intentions. Under-age users who intend to meet someone in person whom
they've chatted with via our network or any other online forum need to discuss the
matter with a parent or guardian before such a meeting takes place. Again, it is
extremely dangerous to meet someone in person who has merely been
encountered during an online chat session.

Considering the real-time nature of IRC, it is impossible for our staff
to review all channels and messages for the validity of information
presented or exchanged among users. The IRC-GLOBAL staff cannot vouch
for, nor do we make claims to the accuracy of, completeness of, or
usefulness of any user's advice sent through our network. Moreover, the
IRC-GLOBAL staff will not be held responsible for such content, as it
is largely out of our control. User messages only express the views of
their authors, not necessarily the views of the IRC-GLOBAL staff or any
other entity or person(s) associated with the administration of our
network.
No responsibility for computer damage, data loss, or other related
damage shall be implied by the IRC-GLOBAL Network, its servers, its
administrators, or any other entity or person(s) associated with the

IRC-GLOBAL servers, you hereby state and agree that you release the
IRC-GLOBAL staff and management, its servers, its administrators, its
operators, and any other person(s) working on behalf of our network and
systems from all responsibility and legal liability which may result
from your use of our network servers.
We reserve the right to restrict a user's access to our servers if his
or her content and/or conduct does not meet our standards. Neither
IRC-GLOBAL nor any entity or person(s) associated with the
administration of the IRC-GLOBAL Network shall assume any liability if
we fail to remove any user who offends or causes hardship to another
user. IRC-GLOBAL staff members shall make the final determination about
whether or not someone's speech is objectionable. The IRC-GLOBAL staff
will not endorse or oppose opinions expressed by our users. The
IRC-GLOBAL administrators, at our discretion and without prior warning
or notification, reserve the right to selectively deny access to, or
use of, the IRC-GLOBAL IRC network and/or any or all of its resources
to anyone for any reason at any time. Such resources include, but are
not limited to, our servers, our services, our channels, our groups,
and our websites.
